The Indian Academy of Pediatrics reviews its immunisation recommendations from time to time. The schedule changes as new vaccines become available and older advice is revised, which is why an immunisation chart printed a few years ago is not something to plan by.
So rather than keep an old chart on this page, we maintain the current schedule — the one we actually follow in the clinic — on our vaccinations page, along with a plain explanation of what each vaccine is for.

A word about schedules in general
The chart is a starting point, not a rulebook. A child born early, a child who missed a dose, a child with a long-term illness, a child about to travel — each may need a slightly different plan. We work out your child’s own schedule at the visits and keep track of it, so that you do not have to.
