Looking after children since 1991
Nathani Clinic is a small family practice in Chembur — two doctors, a settled team, and a waiting room designed on the assumption that children will not sit still. We have been in the neighbourhood since 1994, and at this address since 2014.
Our story
How the clinic came to be
Dr. Neeta Nathani began seeing children in private practice in 1991, at Shivajinagar in Govandi. Three years later she moved to Chembur, and spent the next two decades across three different addresses in the neighbourhood before the clinic finally settled into its present home in 2014.
Much has changed since then — vaccines that did not exist, conditions we now catch far earlier, parents who arrive having already read six articles about the symptom. What has not changed is the way we practise: take the time, explain properly, and treat the family rather than just the child in front of us.
Families followed her through every one of those moves. Many of the children she first saw in the nineties now bring their own children here — which is, quietly, the thing we are proudest of.
1991
Dr. Neeta Nathani enters private practice as a pediatrician, at Shivajinagar in Govandi.
1994
She moves her practice to Chembur, where it stays — across three addresses over the next twenty years.
2014
The clinic settles into its present home at Vikas Centre on Dr Choitram Gidwani Road.
Today
Two doctors, a settled clinic team, and a second generation of Chembur families.

We do not rush
Consultations run as long as they need to. If you have a list of questions on your phone, bring it out — that is what the appointment is for.
We explain everything
What the diagnosis means, why this medicine and not that one, what to watch for at home, and when to worry. In plain language, without the jargon.
We treat the whole family
An anxious parent and an unwell child arrive together. We look after both, and we vaccinate adults and grandparents too.

We run separate WhatsApp groups for different age groups, with one of our doctors present in each — a place for the questions that do not really need an appointment.
Ask away, and help each other while you are at it. There is no such thing as a silly question here — every parent has asked one before you, usually well past midnight.
