How to check the temperature of your child?

Think your child’s body feels warm? Please measure your child’s body temperature immediately! How to do it?

Depending on the site where you have placed the thermometer, different readings have different significance as to whether your child actually has fever.

After you have confirmed that your child has fever, keep taking the temperature every 15 minutes till the temperature comes down (especially, if you have given medication) or if the temperature keeps shooting up and reaching dangerous levels. Note down all these things, the time, the height of fever and how long did it take for fever to come down, and did it come down on its own or did you intervene with say paracetamol or sponging. All this data helps your doctor to arrive at a diagnosis and suggest a course of action.
